Using their FICE tools, Peruvian organization Acción y Desarrollo developed a strategy to reduce violence, early parenthood and early pregnancy rates among young adolescents in Lima and Junin, Peru.

  • 200 adolescent girls received leadership training to prevent violence in their schools.
  • 800 adolescents (both boys and girls) created professional and technical development projects, which helped decrease early parenthood and pregnancy rates.
  • Developed partnership with new international donor, EMpower Foundation, to support 3 new violence and teen pregnancy prevention projects to benefit over 1,000 adolescent girls.
  • Increased awareness of their cause by making formal presentations to the Argentinian Ministry of Education and in  Peruvian universities.
